Brenda Flores, software engineer for B2B operations
I help small and medium B2B service businesses get their operations off spreadsheets, automate the repetitive work that eats their team's day, and build systems that keep up as they grow. All backed by 7+ years building software, including platforms used by 100,000+ businesses.

Does this sound familiar?
Most businesses I work with aren't short on effort. They're short on systems, so the effort goes into work a computer should be doing.
Everything runs on spreadsheets
The information that keeps your business alive lives in files only one person really understands, and nothing connects to anything else.
Your team repeats the same work every day
Copying data from one place to another, sending the same status updates by hand, rebuilding the same report every single week.
You can't see what's happening right now
Answering "where is this order?" or "how did we do this month?" means digging through files and asking three different people.
Growing means hiring more admin
Every new client adds manual work on top of the last one, so taking on more business costs you more than it should.

How I help
Most engagements start with a diagnostic. From there, four ways I take manual work off your team, every one of them something I've already built and put into production.
Operations diagnostic
Before anyone builds anything, I go through your operation step by step and write down exactly where you're losing money, customers or hours. You get a written report you can act on, whether you hire me for the build or not.
I don't invent numbers. If your business doesn't have the data yet, the report says so and prioritizes by impact and effort instead of quoting a made-up figure.
What you get
Digitizing your operation
Move your day-to-day off spreadsheets and into one system your whole team works from, where the information is in a single place and always up to date.
Done for a distributor and a multi-branch service operation. See the case studies below.
Automating repetitive work
Status notifications, reports and follow-ups that send themselves, so nobody on your team spends the afternoon doing work a system can do in seconds.
Cut manual admin workload by 30-40% at CTIASP.
Connecting your tools
Payments, messaging and the software you already pay for, wired together so data flows between them instead of being re-typed by hand.
WhatsApp Business API, Stripe, accounting and supplier APIs, credit bureau integrations.
Platforms built to grow
Customer portals, admin systems and online stores with proper roles and permissions, built to handle more volume without falling apart.
A 300+ product store, and platforms serving 100,000+ businesses.

Real results
Two businesses I took from manual operations to working software, plus the enterprise platforms behind the experience.
Client work
Enterprise background
A service operation running on spreadsheets and manual tracking. Job status, customer files, valuations and third-party paperwork were all handled by hand, and customers called in constantly to ask where their order stood.
What I builtA complete platform covering order tracking, customer files, valuations and third-party claim workflows. WhatsApp Business API sends status updates to customers automatically, so the "where is my order?" calls stopped, and PDF and Excel reports generate themselves instead of being assembled by hand.
A wholesale distributor with a 300+ SKU catalog, no online ordering channel, and pricing and stock tracked outside of any real system. Every quote went through a person.
What I builtAn end-to-end e-commerce platform: a customer-facing storefront plus an admin system with Stripe payments, product catalog management, order tracking, and role-based access so each staff member only sees what they should.
NextivaOne is a unified business communication platform for calls, SMS and voicemail in one place, used by 100,000+ businesses worldwide. This was employment, not client work, but it is where the scale experience comes from.
My roleBuilt product features in React and TypeScript across Mini, Compact and Standard views, along with reusable component architecture and REST API integrations.
NCX is Nextiva's enterprise contact center platform, serving the same base of 100,000+ businesses. Agents and supervisors depend on it being available every minute of the working day.
My roleFeature development in React and TypeScript, a phased Angular to React migration, role-based access control, SSO integrations, and real-time service monitoring across the agent and supervisor interfaces.

How working together works
No months-long discovery phase before you see anything real.
We talk
A call to understand how your operation actually runs day to day and where your team's time is going. If I'm not the right person for the job, I'll tell you.
You get a proposal
Clear scope, timeline and price in writing before any work starts, so you know exactly what you're getting and what it costs.
I build in phases
You see working software early and often instead of waiting months for a big reveal, so we can correct course while it's still cheap to do.
Launch and support
Your team gets trained on the system, and I stay available after launch. I've supported every client project I've delivered since 2018.
06
Who you'd be working with
I'm a software engineer with 7+ years building systems that businesses depend on. Since 2018 I've run an independent consulting practice, handling everything from scoping and proposals through delivery and post-launch support.
I've also worked as a Product Owner, translating business and compliance requirements into working software. That's why I start from how your business actually operates, not from a list of features.
I'm based in Mexico, I work with teams across North America in overlapping time zones, and I work in both English and Spanish.
Under the hood: React, TypeScript, Node.js, Laravel, PostgreSQL, AWS, and integrations across Stripe, WhatsApp Business API and REST/GraphQL APIs.

Let's talk about your operation
Tell me where your team is losing time. If I can help, I'll tell you how and what it would take. If I can't, I'll tell you that too.
